Hello Granny

Well this is the third night that I have had a dream about my "granny". My first dream was right after I came home from the hospital. In the dream she was sitting in my antique burgundy chair in the living room and we were laughing and having such a good time. When I dream about her she always wants to know about my wedding and my little brother and sister. I hate waking up from these dreams because as I get older I find myself missing her more. I always think of things she would like to do with me and things she would like to cook. I see her in so many things I do and I find her spirit always with me. Granny I wish you were here so I could ask you all about your life and who your friends were in those pictures of you in the war. My granny was a 1st Lieutenant army nurse and then went on to be a emergency room nurse at Duke Hospital. She met my grandaddy when he was sick in the hospital. He was a pharmacist and owned his own pharmacy Kale Drugs. I remember specifically the day they both passed and I will never forget how sad I felt. I love them so much and wish they were still here. Hopefully they will be waiting for me at "The Gates" and we can be together again. I don't know if shes trying to tell me something but every time I start to wake up from the dream she always says "let's go home". Well granny I wish you would tell me so I don't get confused on what your trying to say. Well I have to go now so~ Until I blog again~ Gal Molly

The seaside is calling me

Oh my gees I can not wait until June 13th. Me and my family will be heading down to the beach for the weekend for my little Elizabeth's birthday. We are going to have so much fun. I can't wait to take them on the Haunted Ghost Walk of Wilmington ( a ghost walk is going on right now and then another at 8:30, whoa I know I'm bad for knowing the times like that). I can't wait to eat breakfast at Kate's Pancake House, they serve baby pancakes. Oh to go shopping on the waterfront and at the Cotton Exchange. The Water Street Restaurant is where we will eat Saturday night ( it's on the ghost walk because there is a ghost in the hallway going towards the bathroom, but that is a whole other post ). I will post some pictures of last years trip when I load them on the computer tonight. Have a great evening.

Fabulous Friday

Yesterday my little sister was in a play at school. She was the star of the show. I was so proud of her for memorizing her lines. YAY!! Elizabeth. It was so hot today, the temperature was 85 degrees. Whew I can just tell that this summer is going to be a scorcher. This weekend I plan on having a yard sale and trying to sell everything I don't want anymore. I have come to the conclusion that I don't need alot of clutter in my life any more. Well I'm off to make dinner and finish designing this blog.

Bejeweled

This necklace is made of many shades of green glass and would look very trendy with a white top.
This necklace has a leather braided cord with a pink glass heart pendant with pearl stones. This bracelet reminds me of my mom. It has silver high heel shoe charms and round circle white disccharms with gold foil inside.
This bracelet is simple and very trendy. It has a silver heart charm and a glass heart charm that has gold and white foil inside.

Bejeweled is my jewelry and handbag business that I created last summer. I have always wanted my own jewelry and bakery shop since I was little. I love to bake anything and everything. I love different and unique jewelry and handbags. I have posted some pictures of just a few items today. If you have any questions please feel free to leave me some in the comment section or my email is mikemolly10805@aol.com.

Ronald's science project

Here are some pictures of my little brother Ronald's science project. He made a volcano erupting and I just thought that he looked cute in these pictures.

A new look

Well last night after Mike's double header softball game ( he plays for our church ) we came home and did our usual cleaning of Maude. I have never looked at my incision thinking it would totally gross me out to the point that I would faint and be sick. It has healed but the doctor still wants us to clean and bandage it so bacteria won't get in it. I went to the mirror and to my surprise I saw the side that was completely healed and almost lost it. I have never thought of myself as having a scar like that and that was only one half of it. I almost started crying, it does look very gross to me even though it has healed. OK so enough about Maude. Last nights softball game was very intense. Even though we lost both games my sweet handsome husband played so well. I love watching him hit and play first base. He looks so cute in his uniform and the best part of his uniform is his number 04. 04 represents the year that we met, May 1 2004 we have been with each other everyday since that first date. Well me and Maude have to go now so until next time- Gal Molly

What a beautiful weekend

I had the most wonderful weekend. Saturday me and my husband rode around and went antique shopping. My husband is always looking for gumball machines that we can put out on our route and I am always looking for green depression glass. Unfortunately we didn't find anything to purchase. Saturday afternoon my mom cut my hair and it looks awesome. I don't know what I will do when she can not do hair any more. She's the only one that knows how to do my hair and she is the best in Durham , NC. Sunday we had lunch with my mom and the kids and then headed home to lounge. Yesterday we just rode around and looked for campers to purchase so we could have it when we go to the beach. We also looked at foreclosed trailers to move down to the beach. Eventually in the next couple of years we will live in Wilmington, NC. We go there every chance we get, we love love love love it down there. In two weeks we will be there on vacation.

Oh my little friend Maude

I know this sounds crazy but I named my incision Maude. I feel that we have had this bond that nobody can understand but us. Maude is healing wonderful and is not sick anymore. We are now able to walk around without feeling extremely tired, we don't ache anymore and we don't have to have a ton of bandages anymore just one now. Unfortunately I still cannot lift or do anything normal for six more weeks. But me and Maude are so happy to be able to have our energy back and are able to get around more easily. Well I am off to do some chores and get ready for this fabulous weekend.

Gods Precious Gifts

My little brother Ronald The Best Man and my husband Mike
Me and my little sister Elizabeth

Here are some pictures of my youngest siblings. They are my world, my life and my soul. When I was in eighth grade my mom decided to become a foster parent. We housed over one hundred sweet foster children. On February 11 of 1997 a beautiful baby boy was born named Ronald. Unfortunately his mother was mentally ill and left him alone for two days. Social services came and got him and brought him to us on a cold rainy night. He only had a bottle and a onesie on, so me and my mom went to the walmart at 10:00 that night and bought him all kinds of things. We had him for a year and the courts were going to terminate his mothers rights so we decided to adopt him, but there was a twist. His mother said she had a surprise, so we met with her and saw that she was nine months pregnant. At first we didn't know what to do so we prayed about it and decided we would adopt the baby so Ronald and his sibling would not be separated. A month later we got a call saying that she had given birth to his sister Elizabeth. When we went to the hospital I fell in love with her. She was so tiny and beautiful. They told us that she was deaf and that was ok. Since she was born in a different county we had to wait for " paperwork " to be transferred, so she stayed in the hospital for about two days waiting for us. So we brought her home and started to learn sign language. Since they are on medicaid ( a plus if you adopt through the county) she could not get cochlear implants until she was two. I know about the controversy with the deaf culture about implants but if your child was blind and there was a surgery that could let them see, you would get it for them so we decided on the implants. Ronald is now twelve and Elizabeth will be eleven in two weeks. I do not know how my life would be without them, they are my life. When I got married two years ago it was very hard for me to transition from being with them daily. I cried through my entire honeymoon. I know you must think why would a sister cry over her siblings but my family is different. My mom is a single parent and I had to help her raise my siblings. I became very attached to Ronald and Elizabeth. I was in high school when we adopted them and they were my best friends. I didn't party and hang out with wild people, I hung out with them. They have given me unconditional love and friendship. Some people didn't understand why my mom would adopt two babies, but she has a heart so big, she loves everyone. Here are some pictures of Ronald and Elizabeth at my wedding. Ronald was my husbands "Best Man" and Elizabeth was the junior bride ( our dresses matched ). Ronald and Elizabeth you are my life and soul and I cherish our friendship so much. You two are so smart and beautiful and I love you with all my heart.

Finally Healing

It has been over a month that I had to have emergency surgery. On April 17 2008 I suddenly began to feel ill, I thought I had the flu or a stomach virus. So as the day went on I kept going to the bathroom and you would think that you would feel better but I didn't, I kept feeling worse. When my husband came home I sent him to the drugstore to get me some medicine but it didn't make me feel better. At 9:30 that evening we decided to go to the emergency room, where I would stay until about 12:00 the next afternoon. After having numerous doses of morphine and what the emergency room calls a "GI Cocktail" (which felt great) and two CT scans the surgeon came in and told us I had appendicitis. He didn't know whether it had ruptured or not until I went into surgery. Well of course my appendix ruptured and my stomach was full of infection. He had to wash my stomach out and make sure there was no infection still there. After I awoke from surgery I stayed in the hospital for seven days because I was on heavy doses of antibiotic's and they had to sure I was infection free. I came home on Wednesday of the following week. My husband had to learn how to dress my incision which freaked me out because I hate blood and anything to do with injuries. When I was home I noticed I still had some infection left because I was fatigued and sick feeling. My doctor gave me a prescription and up until last week which was a month after surgery I finally gained my strength and health back. I can now walk around without feeling like I am going to pass out. So if you feel like you have a stomach virus and it doesn't go away but gets worse go to the emergency room just to be on the safe side. I could have died if my husband had not made me go because I was determined that I was not going to the emergency room and I was going to beat this. My doctor said that he had never seen someones appendix rupture that fast within 24 hours and I was very lucky to have gotten to him when I did. Ok so take care of yourselves .

Hello my name is Molly

Hi! My name is Molly and I am very excited about having my own blog. I have found many friends through blogs but never made my own. Hopefully my sisters Miranda and Elizabeth will follow me and make their own blog. Ok so a little bit about me: I have been married for two and a half years to a wonderful man, I know sign language and cued speech because my sister Elizabeth is deaf and has two cochlear implants (I know all about the controversy over implants), I have two brothers and two sisters which I am the oldest of them all (the youngest Ronald and Elizabeth are adopted but you couldn't tell because they act and look like us HAHAHAHA, (yeah my family is a little nuts), love to go to the beach and go on the haunted ghost walk in Wilmington, NC ( my husband and I are regulars ), I love any type of coral nail polish and lipgloss, I love any type of books that are funny and have a little bit of crazyness to them and last but not least I love church. Ok so that wasn't so bad.
