The Lord works in mysterious ways
You see this precious baby smiling pretty and gorgeous? Well let me just tell you she has the biggest heart of any child I know. Last year when my appendix ruptured she thought I had died when my mom told her what had happened when she got out of school. She then thought that I had had a baby.
This is what I found in the flowers she HAND MADE me! This sweet little Kewpie doll. I noticed it after she had left and I cried the whole night.
When I came home from the hospital I took the flowers she had made me and put them on my coffee table and placed the baby in the top of the flower. I had noticed one day the baby was gone and I just figured that it had fell inside the flower.

Yesterday I dropped a piece of paper under my couch and found the baby. It must have fell out when I was cleaning one day. I was so happy when I found that little doll, it's the little things in life that mean so much to me. I will keep that baby forever with the reminder that my baby sister gave to me out of love. And yes I still have the flowers on my coffee table almost one year later. On April 18 it will have been a year since that awful day that my appendix ruptured, oh the misery. I hope you all have a great day and check back tonight for some of my creations.

In which I break a mannequin
About 21 years ago I broke a mannequin. Oops!!! Yes I liked to play in between the clothes racks and sit and talk to the mannequins. Well one day me and my granny went to the famous Thalhimers, now if you don't what that store is it was Hetch's and now it's Macy's. We were on our weekly shopping spree and she was looking for a new frock for church. I of course was hiding in the clothes racks while she chatted with one of her friends she saw across the way. Well I thought it would be funny if I tried to shake the mannequins hand. Um well you guessed it, the mannequin went tumbling down and smashing into a million pieces. Well I went and hid and finally walked up to my granny and acted like I had did nothing of the kind. I mean there was another little kid in there running around so I thought I was in the clear. So not so, the sales clerk came and walked up to my granny and said "you know your grand daughter knocked the mannequin down?". Well my sweet granny turned to her and said " Uh no she didn't it was that kid." Yes my granny saved my hiney in public but she gave a little speech on the way home, so I learned never to play with mannequins again. Now I'm not tooting my own horn here because my granny should have whooped me but she didn't believe in that, she always took up for me and was always there for me. She was my Lady in shining armor and I was hers. I can only imagine the fun we could be having today if she were here. I hope you all have a fabulous Thursday!!!

I've been on a diet since I was 8

Have you ever thought of how long Women have been dieting, needless to say yourself? Well I know for a fact that I have been on a diet since I was 8. Now that's a plum shame. I should have been enjoying my childhood, frolicking around in the flowers, having tons of fun and not having in the back of my mind of how chubby I was. I can remember on spring break eating my candy out of my Easter basket and wishing I hadn't, that's sad when your only 10 and you actually think of not eating your candy because you want to be thin. I was always told that I couldn't truly be happy if I wasn't a size 4 or 2, now that's just not possible to achieve. So for years I have been trying every single diet trying to lose weight and telling myself that I would have a better life if I was SKINNY and not FAT. I have crucified myself for eating stuff I like and actually enjoying it. This INSANITY has to stop (yes I stole that from Susan Powter HEHE), I am beautiful not only on the inside but on the outside. I am so sick and tired of the media making women feel UGLY for being curvaceous, I mean who said that a bag of bones was beautiful.? I am lucky to have met a man that not only loves me for me but also thinks I'm the next best thing since sliced bread :) Why do we look in the mirror and say "if I only lost 5 pounds or 10 pounds I would be happy"? I am here to tell you to stop, it is crazy to not love yourself, life is too short. Ladies love yourself and stop wishing you were thin, God made you the way you are and loves you in that way. So please ladies tell yourself today that you love yourself and you are beautiful just the way you are. I mean I don't know who wrote the rule book and said all women needed to be a size 2 and look hot in a bikini. Oh and go out and have a Reese's Easter egg, they are to die for!!! And when you eat it enjoy every morsel of it, HEHEHE!!!!

Well behaved women never make history

You know that statement is true. Many women have made history like Alice Roosevelt, Marie Antoinette, Cleopatra and so forth, you get the picture. Now I'm not saying we should all run the streets half naked and egging people's houses or do something illegal. What do you want to be remembered by or for? Maybe volunteering at the soup kitchen or reading to kids at a local school or visiting the elderly that don't have family. When my granny passed 21 years ago I remembered a ton of people at her viewing and by that I mean they were out the door, just to see my granny. My granny was GIVER and never asked for anything in return. Her friends told me of how she gave to the needy, took kids in when the orphanage was overflowing with babies, joined the army because her brother joined and thought if he can do it I know I can. That's what she was remembered for but the most of all she was remembered for her FAITH. If there is anything that I learned from her it was her faith in God. She never doubted him, NEVER. She was always reading her bible, quoting scripture and saying prayers. So you might be asking yourself "what do I want to be remembered for?" right. Well what is something that you do with no questions asked or do you volunteer your time and not gloat over it. I can honestly say that most people think of me as a sweet, giving, loving and funny person. Now I'm tooting my own horn but that's me in a nutshell. This weekend as I was reflecting on how my life is so good to me I told Mike I wanted to give back in some way. I have thought about volunteering at the soup kitchen and I am donating some craft projects to a couple of causes that tear at my heart. God is so good to me, so I need to return the favor by helping those in need and witnessing to those that do not know Christ. So if you have a small aching in your heart and don't know what it is maybe you should think about your life and how blessed you are and maybe think about giving back. You know it will make you feel better and make someone less fortunate's day. And please don't think I am doing this so when my day comes to go to heaven people can remember me of the things I did, I want them to remember the causes and reason behind them (if that makes sense).

Funny I didn't know the Lord was coming for lunch

Happy Sunday friends!! I hope you have had a lovely weekend as myself has had. So anyways as I was straighting up my kitchen I found my box of prayer cards and accidentally dropped it. When I picked it up, I found the most perfect verse and phrase. "Through I walk in the midst of trouble, thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies." -Psalm 138:7 . Then I found this phrase, Mercy is God not giving us what we do deserve, and grace is God giving us what we don't deserve. Wow isn't it funny how God just shows up without notice, LOVE IT. So I made me and Mike some mushroom and cheese omelette's, grits and cinnamon toast. Yeah love me some southern breakfast's and my sweet little hubby.
Each day I will post a new verse on my side bar for my new "a verse a day", hope y'all can join in with me.

In which I play in the shower with my clothes on

When I was little my Wednesday nights consumed of going to church, chowing down and learning about the Lord. Now as you know I was kinda a diva when I was young as is I am now. I had my share of cute outfits and some all time faves. One of my faves, was a white jumper that had seahorses, shells and sunglasses on it and had short sleeves and shorts for bottoms. As you have witnessed in past posts, I liked to get messy or should I say creative, yeah that's better. Well one Wednesday night we were getting ready to go to church, my granny had baked an awesome casserole and chocolate cake and I was in the bathroom pondering on if I should get in the tub with my clothes on. Well the water got the best of me and in I went shoes (my hot pink jellies) and all. After being in there for a few minutes I realized what I had done and panicked. I jumped out and tried to dry off but it was no use, I would ultimately have to change outfits. As I was frantically looking for some new cute duds and naked like a jay bird, my granny finds me in shambles. She quickly got me dressed and yes my perm was wet and frizzy. So the point to my story and I swear I'll find something funnier next week, was that was end of me getting messy in my cute duds. I don't know why I did it but I know I had fun and liked the feeling of being free and messy.
I'm off to make nachos for my sweetums and I did make some chocolate dipped coconut cookies for him too. Hope y'all have a fun freaky Friday and I some new items that will hit the shop on Monday.

Cheesy BBQ Pork Chops

Cheesy BBQ Pork Chops is Mike's fav meal of all time or it might be my homemade pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. Anyways thought I'd take a break from sewing, ooohhh your gonna love this sweet little dress I made for a little one, and give y'all this recipe I am making tonight. Here goes:
4 pork chops seasoned with salt & peppa
a handful of cheddar cheese
as my babe Elizabeth calls it BeebeeQ sauce
a smidge of suga
Now in a bowl mix the BeebeeQ sauce, suga, and cheese. Then place the pork chops in a baking pan and pour mixture over each chop. Now I don't know how much of all this you should mix so you should probably just eyeball it. I know I make things up as I go, HEHE. Now bake for about 30 minutes at 375 degrees or until tender and cheesy.
Now I like to serve this sweet little dish with mac & cheese and green beans and a slice of cornbread. Or a slice of my banana chocolate bread to sweeten it up a little.
Hope y'all enjoy!!!

Karma Karma Karma Chamelion
What can I say I'm a chamelion ! I change my makeup about every 6 months and never stay with the same brand. So here is my new makeup that I LOVE!!
The Almay Pure Blends is Awesome!! It is 97% natural and goes on so smooth. It's just what I need with the upcoming summer months, since I sweat and have oily skin like nobodys business.
Here is the lip gloss that is to die for. It is not sticky and your hair doesn't get caught in it when the wind blows.
I love this packaging!!!! The loose powder is in this cute little box and goes on smooth and not cakey and doesn't fall everywhere either.

OK, so you all should know that I LOVE this brand of shoes already. I have them in just about every color and style. The company knows me by name when I order, is that bad. Anyways this is the new style for March and the Dogwood is our state flower, so I just had to order these. I can honestly say that these shoes will last forever and they don't give out like most flops do after a few wearings.

This sweet little pair of earrings is the newest design from my studio. I love them so much I made a pair for myself!
These earrings measure 2 and a half inches long and are light weight. The round beads have gold foil inside and shimmer and shine in the sunlight. On top of them lies aqua, green and iridescent green beads that add flair. The hoops have a sterling silver coating for sensitive ears and hook in the back.P.S Please pray for my blogger friend Angie over at AngelicaGraceDesigns, she has had some heart palpitations and went to the ER last week and has had a heart monitor on for a few days. She finds out tomorrow what the results are, so please keep her in your prayers. Love ya Angie!!!!

You know your old when your siblings are getting older HAHAHA
Yes my friends I am 28 going on 29 and the oldest of 5 brothers and sisters. Yesterday I caught my baby brother Ronald on Facebook say he had a girlfriend and that didn't settle right with seeming that he is 13 and still "my baby" hahaha. So I thought I would give you all a recap of my siblings and what nots.
Miranda my 25 year old sister is in school to become a nurse and loves it. She also is going to be my model for my skirt that I have designed and we like to get coffee and chat about the latest gossip.

JW my 19 year old brother is on the volunteer fire department in Greensboro and loves it. He is in school for fire science and also to be an EMT. I worry about him because I don't want to see anything happen to him, he's so smart and sweet and has the biggest heart.
My baby Elizabeth, the apple of my eye, my suga dumpling is 11 and growing up so fast. Her language has done a 360 this year and she has begun to play the recorder. I love hearing her play Hot Cross Buns and Old MacDonald, so sweet. Also since we all know Sign Language, she has begun to get books at the library and has been teaching herself new signs. Who couldn't love that sweet little dumpling :)

And last but not least my "cuddles" Ronald who just turned 13 and is acting so grown. He has just finished basketball and won most of his games. He can play so well and is going to a basketball camp this summer. He is also going to be in the play Suessical at school. He is a "who" and the understudy for the mayor, although the kid that got the mayor doesn't show up for rehearsal so maybe my "cuddles" will get the lead part. And he likes girls which I told him he needed to focus on his schooling and leave those little tramps alone hahaha. I love you my little photography model.

So there you have a recap of the lives of the most precious people in my life. As for me, I am embracing that I am the oldest and can't be the second "mommy" any more and can't take control like I like. For now I'm off to stalk my brother JW, the heartthrob in the fireman uniform on Facebook and steer those hoochies away from him, because we all know ladies like a man in uniform HAHAHAH. Have a great weekend!!!

" I made it with my own two hands "
You see this picture below of my sister Miranda, yeah that's my work of art, her hair I mean. Don't you just love it, I think it gives her character, I mean she loves short hair now and I think it has to do with me, ya think. When I was little I always knew I wanted to do hair, I would constantly book Barbie and her friends an appointment with me and she would try all the new looks and not complain one bit. She had layers, bangs, Mohawk, short stubby hair and yes my friends, hair color. So one day I set out on some new prey, my baby sister Miranda. Now we did everything together and were the best of friends, so I knew she wouldn't mind if I cut her hair and not mom , she's was only 4 and trusted her big sister and what not. So one day she booked or should I say I booked her an appointment with me at 2:00 because we liked to watch the soap operas while we played and I knew that would distract her. So I got my granny's big knitting scissors and asked "would you like me to cut your hair?" and she replied "yes". So off I went to cutting, now she had beautiful curly locks of golden brown hair that was at her shoulders and looked gorgeous in an up do and all. So when I finished she laughed and loved it, so I knew that the only thing to do now was to call my mom and say "hey granny took us to get our hair cut". My mom's reply was " I'll be home in 5 minutes" ha ha, I ran like the dickens and hid in the pantry. Now my granny was supposed to not tell where I was but she left me hanging and told my mom where to find me and I went running again. My mom cried and cried but Miranda lovedher new "do" and I thought it gave her character. I then went on to beauty school when I graduated high school and loved it. So you see I started early and my mom can only blame herself because she is the one that gave me my first perm at age 3 and I knew right then and there that a "hair dresser" was born.
Here's me in my truest form with the little smirk on my face. You can still find that famous smirk today. As you can tell I had glitter eye shadow and my famous perm that I sported with pleasure. I was the only child in 3rd grade that had color and talked about her "roots". Oh to be the child of a hair dresser is such fun. I have been to too many hair shows and been models in shows and had every type of hairstyle and color you can think of. And yes when my mom gets old I will still color and roller set her hair.

Holy mackeral,oh my gees
Let me just say this, the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows are a total joke. First off where are the fluffy women AKA the chubs. I have never seen a show where any of these women or men have tire rings, love handles, muffin top, saggy boobs and what not. WHERE ARE THE REAL PEOPLE?! I have lost all respect for reality TV, nobody except if your 19 to 25 wears string bikini's, halter dresses, boots tucked into your jeans and talks like a VALLEY GIRL. I am not bitter I AM JUST SAYING. OK so last night was a joke and a half. Poor Molly being called back because Jason realized what a mistake he had made. Poor Melissa she needed to let him have it, I mean who goes on TV and breaks up an engagement like that , oh wait some man that has serious issues. He needs therapy like I change my underwear daily. HAHAHA had to put that in there. Well I hope tonight I don't waste my time like I did last night. Maybe I should start a show called Bachelor: The Therapy Session, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Molly Pearce, girl detective

OK so you probably don't know this about me but I love Nancy Drew. I really only like children and teen books, I can't get into adult books, I just don't relate. I am now on number 8 of the Nancy Drew series, Nancy's Mysterious Letter and love it. Her books take you back into a time when everything was so simple and good, unlike today's times. I could have lived back then and loved it. I love the jargon and the description of the food and clothing back then. Nancy Drew's clothes were classic, unlike today's hoochiefied, show your ta's ta's and who ha's clothing of today. I bought on EBay a book on Carolyn Keen, the author and how Nancy Drew came to be, it's pretty interesting. My goal is to finish the series by the end of the year, since I read them in about 2 days I think it's accomplish able. The next book in the series is The Sign of The Twisted Candles, sounds spooky, I can't wait. And yes when the movie came out 2 summers ago Mike took me and my little sister to see it (because Elizabeth loves anything her big sissy does) and had a ton of fun. Mike said he was going to fall asleep but I saw him getting into it :)
Well I'm off to make Asian chicken tonight and hope that the roads clear up for tomorrow since we got 7 inches of snow last night, YAYAY, NOT!!!! Until I blog again ~ Gal Molly
P.S can't wait to to see the bachelor tonight
