UP ALL NIGHT

There's my sweet babies after the recital being silly.

Here's me and Lizzie ( my heads chopped off ). She's the most beautiful child I have ever seen.
Me and Miranda my other sister at my brother's graduation being silly.

Well here I go again with another sleepless night. I hate hate hate when this happens. I try so hard to not drink caffeine or eat chocolate so I won't be keyed up when it's time to sleep but I still can't seem to get a 'good nights sleep , so I'm her blogging. I have some pictures of my sisters recital and ones of me and my other sister that I thought I would post. If this blog looks crazy it's because it's 3am and I'm half asleep writing it. HAHA!! Well I'll be back tomorrow, Until I blog again ~ Gal Molly

My sweet Maude

Well next Tuesday me and Maude go visit the doctor. It has been over two months since I received Maude. If you guys don't already know from one of my early posts in May, Maude is my incision that I received due to my appendix rupturing. She has finally healed to the point that I don't have to bandage her up and no cover up for the shower. Although she sometimes gets a little sore if I have a strenuous day but all in all she is healed. Since my appendix ruptured I am now very careful of what I put in my body, although I know my appendix rupturing had nothing to do with the things that I ate before. With all the outbreaks in food and all, my immune system is still not up to par so I am eating very healthy and natural foods. I needed to lose my "marriage weight" but didn't intend on losing it this way. Well I am off to bed, so have a great night y'all.

My fav recipe

Well I am a fellow reader of Big Mama's blog and she needs some recipes for summer, so here goes: Molly's simple nachos

You need one pound of ground beef, can of black beans, I love Chi Chi's mild salsa, bite size Tostito's, cheese sauce and of course Daisy's sour cream.

OK so all you do is brown the beef, then drain the grease.
Add about half of the jar of salsa, black beans and the beef back to the pan for about five minutes, after you have drained the beef.

Then just put some chips on a plate and add the beef mixture and top with cheese salsa and sour cream. Hope you all enjoy it as much as me and my husband do.

A NEW 'DO'

Let me just say for the record that my mom can do some darn good hair. My mom cut and colored my hair yesterday and it is awesome. I have had this cut before it got so popular. My hair is very stacked in the back and angled down the sides. She gave me some highlights throughout the front and top. My mom has been doing hair for over twenty years and has a booming business, if you don't pre-book your next appointment you will wait six to eight weeks just for a wet cut. She has been to London twice to train at the Vidal Sassoon school and to Chicago for Paul Mitchell. She has won numerous awards and was asked to teach for Mitchell's Hair Academy. As soon as I graduated high school I went on to Cosmetology school myself. I went to the International Institute of Hair Design. It was so much fun to go there and get to do competitions while I was in school. So me and my mom do each other's hair. I color hers she colors mine, I cut hers she cuts mine. We have what we call a "color and cut party". I have never been afraid to anything to my hair because after all its just hair it will grow back or you can re-do the color. I had my first perm at age three and was hooked. I have been coloring, highlighting, and doing anything I wanted to me hair since then. Let's just say I always have the news trend when it comes to my hair. I can spot someones "roots" a mile away and instantly want to say to them please let me re-touch your hair but I know that's rude. Me and my sisters have been hair models numerous times and loved it. Well momma thanks for making me look hot to trot. HAHAHA!! I'll post a pic when my husband gets home to take one.

FAVORITE FIND

Well ladies let me just tell you how much I love the St. Ives new face collection. I have used the lotion since I was a little girl and now they have this wonderful line out for your face. I have the olive wash and love it. It makes my face feel moisturized and smooth. Another plus its natural, I am trying so hard to go green for the environment. I also switched to Cover Girl from using Clinque. I like Clinque but it just feels cakey in the summer so I am using a tinted moisturizer and their powder. I also love Maybeline's great lash in black. This summer I have done nothing but want to wear tunics and flowy tops. They make me feel very cool on hot days. And last but not least I love love love my Oka B sandals. They are very comfy and don't make my feet sweat. Well those are my favorite finds, so Until I blog again ~ Gal Molly

THE LORD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS

I have been going to church my whole life. I can remember my granny and I sitting together in the pews and having a "southern lunch" right after service. I can remember eating dinner on Wednesday nights and having such fun in bible study. I pray on a daily basis and read my devotional. When I think about how gas and food has gone up I say to myself "how are we going to make it?". The lord has always provided for us and has never let us down. Even though sometimes I wish he would give me signs more easily. Well about two months ago I was pumping gas when a homeless man came by and started looking through the trash for food. I asked him if he was hungry and he said yes. So I reached in my pocket and gave him ten dollars. When I went in to pay, the man that owns the store said that I should not have given him the money because he lives in a shelter and would only purchase alcohol with it. Well I started thinking maybe I shouldn't have given him the money but then I thought what was ten dollars anyway. I have been blessed with food, shelter, clothes, growing business, loving family and God. My point is the ten dollars didn't make or break me, it made me feel like I was helping him out. I couldn't bear to see him pick up an old Tupperware container with nasty mac and cheese in it. On my birthday last year me and my husband went to eat at shorty's in Wake Forest ( we have machines in their pool room ). Well when we were leaving a man was walking down the street and came and asked us if we would buy him lunch because he was hungry. I almost started crying because I have been so blessed and have never gone hungry and for a man to come up and ask if we could get him lunch because everyone else he asked said no my heart melted. Well my husband said yes do you like hot dogs and the man replied yes. So we went to Shorty's and he got ten hot dogs, cheese Fry's and two drinks. He thanked us and went on his way. As we were driving home we saw him underneath a tree eating alone in the heat. I will never forget this man and how he asked us for lunch. When there are weeks when I think I can't make it I think to myself and say the lord will not give you what you can't handle. So maybe this week you can help someone in need whether it be with lunch, a friendly conversation or just by praying for them.

Sometimes I wonder

OK so I don't know if I have told you guys about my little sister Elizabeth or not so here goes. Elizabeth has two cochlear implants so she can hear. She was born completely deaf and it was me and my mom's decision for her to get the implants. Let me say that first off Elizabeth and Ronald are adopted, they have the same mom but two different dads. Anyways I explained that in one of my May posts. OK so I know my thoughts are all over the place here but please bear with me. We have had a long journey to get to the point that are at today. Elizabeth didn't talk for a long time and not only did she not talk but she didn't sign either. Well anyways every summer since she has been in school she goes to a summer program designed for hard of hearing children so they can get speech therapy and not loose vocabulary and other things during the time off. Well this year she is in a class where there are autistic, down syndrome and totally deaf children. I am not saying anything bad about those kids but when my mom calls and tells me that her teacher is yelling at her friend Ntinos (whom we have know since preschool ~ they went to the only preschool here in North Carolina designed for children with cochlear implants) and signing to Elizabeth all day and not talking I have to take a stand. I do not understand the school system thinking that all these children need to be together, how are they supposed to learn anything with chaos like that. I forgot to mention that we don't sign to Elizabeth anymore because she is talking so well and her speech therapist advised us not to. When you have a cochlear implant you have to learn to listen to the word and not a picture or sign, because how would she know what to say if she had always looked at a picture and not listened to the sound of the word. Anyways my mom is going to observe the class to see if she needs to be pulled out. I mean the children that have the implants are mainstreamed anyway , their not with the special needs children so why are they with them now. Oh I know because the school system sucks and doesn't want to pay another teacher to come in and teach the hard of hearing kids by themselves. I have nothing against special needs children because my sister does have a special need , I am just saying why not separate the kids so they can ALL learn something this summer. Because I know my Lizzie if she is confused or nervous about something she will breakdown and not talk and I do not want that for her.

Before and after

Well Boomama has challenged us fellow bloggers to a before and after project. I am so glad because I plan on finishing my office this weekend and want to show it off. As my husband knows that I love vintage things so my office is decorated with vintage items. He bought me a vintage beach print this weekend and I am looking for a vintage dress form so I can finish some sewing projects. My other project is to finish my garden. I need a few more plants to tie it all together. So come join in the fun of the before and after project hosted by Boomama.

New location

Well today we gained another location. My husband and I own M&M Amusements and Vending. We have over two hundred locations that take us from our home to the beach. We have gumball machines, pool tables, kiddie rides, mint machines, vending machines and just about any type of machine that will hold some sort of candy, toy and refreshment. We also do juke boxs video games and touch masters. I met my husband online in a christian chat room and was drawn to him by his screen name, Pearcebrothers. I don't know what drew me to it but I think God knew what he was doing when I IM'D him. Ever since that day we rode together to collect, refill, repair and "set" locations. We love our customers and the locations our machines are set in. I never thought that I would be filling drink machines and candy machines and absolutely love it. Every other month we go to a auction sale and buy pieces to put out on the route. Now my husband wants a hot dog cart so we can set up at local baseball games and social events. Even though this job does get tough and I sometimes get a little dirty, I still love it because I get to work with my husband all day, every day. Most say don't you get tired of that but they don't know how deep our relationship is. Well I'm off to help my husband clean this machine so we can set it tomorrow.

"Witch and Monster"

Ok so I remembered a story that my granny told every night. I blogged about this on Friday that my granny would tell me her stories about "Witch and Monster". Well one night she told me a really funny one about them going to the "Sizzler" to eat and then out dancing. "Witch" also had an apple tree in her yard that she would make apple pies and all sorts of stuff. Well that night when she finished that story we laughed and laughed and I can still hear her laugh. Before she got sick her and my mom were going to record the stories but her cancer spread and she got very sick fast. Well I still have the memories and I'm thinking of putting together some short stories of some sort and possibly printing them in her honor. Her stories are something to be treasured. I'll be sure to update with my progress on writing them. Have a great night.

Happy Fathers Day

My dad walking me down the aisle, thats when he started crying.
My favorite picture of my family throwing rose petals in the air. We all laughed really hard.
My mom giving my dad a piece of their wedding cake from twenty-eight years earlier. I was so mad that she did that to my dad.

Happy Fathers Day Dad!!! Thank you for everything you have done for me and thanks for the relationship we have now. When I was three my dad and my mom got a divorce. It was very hard growing up not having a dad "living" in the house. Although I saw him every other weekend it was still different. But I had some great times with him while growing up. Now that I am married and planning on starting my own family we have bonded more than ever. We hang out every chance we get and have cookouts together. My dad has MS and is not doing so well so we have to take this time that we have and make the best of it. Later today I hope to post some pictures of my new garden and farm.

My new garden

I love love love fried green tomato's. My grannys recipe is the best.

Well today I am going to get some seeds to start my garden. I am so sick and tired of buying food and then they come out with Ecoli and salmonella tainted products. So in order to miss those I am going to get peas. tomato, cucumber, green beans and squash and zucchini seeds this weekend. I am really excited since I already live on farm land with my neighbors. Hopefully I won't kill the plants with my "city girl" gardening skills. HAHA!! I never thought that I would actually live on a farm but my husband said country life was great so we moved out here to a farm and I love it. I have two ducks that walk around my yard and my miniature dachshund's Gypsy and Savannah get run free. We have a little pond up the gravel road that my husband and little brother Ronald go fishing at. Well I will post pictures of my gardening adventure this afternoon or tomorrow and some pictures of my ducks. Have a great day !

Postponed

Well unfortunately our beach trip had to be postponed due to my mom having bronchitis and possibly pneumonia. I hope she gets better soon. Me and my husband absolutely adore the beach. Maybe I can talk him into driving me there for the day if not I will have to wait until July 25th. Have a great weekend.

Freaky Friday

I love Friday the 13th's don't you. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved Halloween and Friday the 13th's. I love anything to do with ghosts and "the dead". I know that sounds crazy but when I was little Halloween was my favorite time of the year. I loved getting dressed up and my mom making my costume. My costumes were always something flashy and had tons of glitter. Did I mention I love anything with glitter and sequins. My granny used to tell me a story before I would go to bed and it was so funny. It was about "witch" and "monster" they were boyfriend and girlfriend. They would always go to the Sizzler for dinner and "witch" had a apple tree in her yard that she would make pies and stuff with. My granny loved anything to do with food so I always knew when she told me the story which was new every night that they would be eating something. Well maybe tonight I will tell my husband a story about "witch" and "monster". I hope you guys have a great Friday the 13th and watch out for black cats HAHAHA.

I love my "Mikey"!!!!

My dad fixing Mike's tie for the wedding.
Mike. my dad, my little brothers Ronald and JW.
Us after the ceremony, Mike was trying to kiss me and I started laughing.

I just wanted to let the world know or whoever reads my blog that I truly love my husband from the bottom of my heart. He works so hard to provide me with everything I could ever want and I just wanted to thank him for doing that for me. I could not have prayed for a better man. When I prayed to God to find me someone I said Lord if you want me to be single that's fine but if you want me to have a husband that's even better HAHAHAHA! I know I was picky but you have to be when searching for your life partner. My checklist was: Loves the Lord, loves children, loves my crazy moods and ideas that I just think up at any give moment, doesn't drink or smoke and last but not least loves me for who I am and not all about looks. Well that is my husband Mike Pearce in a nutshell. "Mikey" I love you with all my heart and hope we have a many many many many more years of this wonderful marriage that we have created. Just think next year we will have a little Blythe or Wilmington running around wanting to go eat at Shorty's like his or her daddy. Until I blog again ~ Gal Molly

J.W tackling and playing hard.

J.W playing baseball like a pro. He can hit a ball at 100mph. Whoa you go J.W.
J.W and "Livie" on prom night in front of his new truck.
J.W and "Livie" on the golf course.

Hey y'all just thought I would post some pictures of my little brother J.W's senior year. Wow time flies when your having fun. I can remember when he was born I had just turned nine and thinking wow a baby brother. I was always the "little mama" of the siblings. I guess being the oldest out of five siblings you have that instinct of wanting to protect and always be there for them. I have some pictures of senior night at his last football game and prom pictures. Unfortunately I couldn't be there for prom because of Maude ( my appendix rupturing) so my step momma sent me some pictures. My brother actually got a scholarship for baseball this year for college. I am so proud of you J.W aka Scooter Pooter HAHAHAHA. Me and Mike love you very much have a great summer .

Well today I will be working on my office. I have to finish unpacking that room and getting ready for the summer. I am in search of a vintage metal table to use as my desk. Me and my husband found one on our honeymoon but were unable to purchase due to we didn't have any room to haul it home. Today is supposed to be the last scorching hot day of this week. I can not believe how hot it has been this past week. Thank God my brother's graduation was in doors in the cool AC. Well I'm off to do some laundry and get started on my office before it gets too hot.

Graduation

Here's J.W after he received his diploma.

Whoa this weekend was so busy. Saturday was my brothers high school graduation. J.W was so excited and sad. YAY!! Go J.W we love you. He will be attending Guilford Tech Community College for Fire Science. Oh my little brother as a fireman so cute and brave. After graduation we had cake, ice cream and finger foods. My dad was a little sad because now all of his children are grown and there are no little ones around. Just wait until next year dad when you will be babysitting for a little Blythe, Madge or Wilmington if it's a boy. I love different names for little children.

Field Day!!!! YAY!!!

Today I went to field day with my little sister Elizabeth. We had so much fun, I wish I had a field day for myself. HAHAHA!! First we had ice cream and then we started playing fun games. I did get a little burnt but Elizabeth got really tan. She tans so easily and has beautiful olive skin. After all the festivities were over we had lunch and then we left for the day. I just couldn't stand to see her stay and not be with me. My mom chaperoned my little brother Ronald's trip to Busch Gardens. I hope they had tons of fun today. I took my camera but to my surprise the batteries that I picked up were the ones that didn't get charged so I didn't get any pictures.:( Well we only have one week until the beach and I am so excited I can't stand it. Well if I have any adventures tonight I will let y'all know. Have a lovely evening.

Oh for the love of inflation

Ok so I missed church today due to a flat tire. Thank goodness my husband knows how to change one otherwise I would be lost. Well we get the spare on and drive to Sam's Club because they are the cheapest around. Well they were cheap, our tire was $68 then we had to pay $9.99 to have it put on then $1.50 for them to discard it. So we ended up paying $82. Wow just for one tire and please don't get me started on the gas prices. What a bunch of *(&^^%%&^%^*( and that's what I think about that. I just want to know how these gas CEO's expect people to live. I mean groceries are now going up too, what next water won't be free at restaurants. Ok so that's my soapbox for today, I will heading to the beach for the weekend next Friday for my little sister's birthday. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some pictures to post from Bejewled.
